Full of friendly. open-minded and relaxed people.
It's wonderfully situated, (nearly) surrounded by water.
There is a lot to do, the famous and very impressive Vasa Museum, grab something to eat at the Stockholm’s indoor market, take a ferry and visit one of the Islands in Stockholm’s archipelago on a beautiful summers day, have a look at the Royal Palace and it's Treasury or the world’s oldest open-air museum Skansen, to name but a few....
But do not miss Gamla Stan, Stockholm's oldest attraction and one of the best preserved medieval city centers in the world, small winding streets, stores filled with handicrafts, antiques, art galleries and cafés.
So a prefect spot to relax after a day full of sightseeing...
My favourite Café is Kaffekoppen right at Stortorget.
I fell in love during one of my first visits to Stockholm (1995) and my favourite back then were, Pancakes served with cloudberries and Ice Cream......
But they are serving savoury snacks as well and not to forget a delicious strong coffee.
